I got two grubby paws up against the TV screen
I'm purring with the ecstasy of what I am seeing
Starts in my toes, & dances to my heart

I look back to my friends on the couch

And my clothes, well, they're not the latest fashion lines
Instead my wardrobe is a giant Jellicle shrine

At seven in the morning I grab my work-out mat
And jive with Rum Tum Tugger while he tries to catch a rat
It's a thrilling type of exercise to keep from getting fat
But it also is a weakness: I'm totally addicted to Cats

Raging by the VCR, remote control in hand
Captivated by the music that puts shame to any band
I'm so obsessed with Skimble, & Mr Mistoffolees
I've begun to grow a tail & I've already got fleas

And it seems that my plan has worked well
My friends have fallen under Rumpel Teazer's spell
They can't sit still any more
They too hunger for the Jellicle Ball

The Jellicle moon's dying, the stale cold smell of morn'
Like the sunflower & Jemima I turn my face towards the dawn
If the show goes on the tour again I know where I'll be at!
